My transaction didn’t go through, but my card still got charged?

Digital+ Cards, Physical Cards, Spending

If you cancel a transaction, or if a transaction was not accepted by the merchant but your card was still charged, the funds may be in a “Pending” state. This will show as a difference between the Current and Available balance on your AllGo cardholder account.

This means a portion of your card’s funds have been reserved for a transaction, but have not been claimed by the merchant (store or website). This usually happens if the transaction was not accepted by the merchant at the point of purchase, or an online purchase was cancelled/declined.

The authorisation request for the reserved/pending funds on your card will expire automatically 30 days after the attempted transation if unclaimed by the merchant, and the funds will become available on your card again.

If the funds are still pending after 30 days, you should contact the merchant who can do either of the following to release your funds-
A) Cancel the Transaction Authorisation Request from their payment system
or
B) Initiate an Acquirer Reversal Request for the pending amount on your AllGo Mastercard to balance out the pending transaction.
